·Based at CRCfm Castlebar, reporting to the station manager ·Presenting radio programmes as directed by the station manager ·Editing radio programmes on Cool Edit software ·Researching for and conducting radio interviews daily ·Completing and filing running orders for programmes ·Complying with station policy in all respects of programming and other duties ·Work from various locations around Castlebar during outside broadcasts when required ·Provide voiceovers for commercials when required ·Perform general station duties as directed by the station manager
The Candidate: ·Must have relevant current affairs broadcasting experience (not necessarily recent) or relevant qualifications ·Be familiar with computerised radio systems or be willing to up-skill ·A strong team player but be able to work on own initiative when required ·Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines ·Have excellent communication and people skills ·Must have strong organisational skills ·Must have a good command of the English language and be capable of communicating by email
Training will be given to the successful candidate but they must be able to hit the ground running and embrace challenges head on
Hours of Work: The role requires twenty hours per week. Renumeration: Salary will be paid at the rate of €10 per hour (€200 per week)
