Gerry Carney is probably the finest songwriter ever to come out of Mayo. His style ranges from contempory ballads to Irish classics such as "Paddy", the biggest hit on the Irish music scene in the past decade. His radio show is honest and refreshing, reflecting his own personality and attitude towards life in general. Gerry plays Irish and American country, contempory and classic and is a favourite with overseas listeners on our online service as well as a loyal local audience. The Country Lounge is compulsory listening for the many artists who make up the show also and they are all regular guests on the show. This is how a country show should be!
